• It is important to note, however, some distinctions in the product's physicalities: this product has eight suppositories, instead of ten (and like Medicardium, each is 2 grams in mass). The same sequestering / chelating agent is used in each: salts of EDTA (whereas Medicardium uses magnesium di-potassium EDTA, Chelatox now uses magnesium EDTA and potassium EDTA separately). The end result is similar to the sodium EDTA compound commonly used in intravenous EDTA chelation therapy.
• One important distinction: this product contains 400 mg. of EDTA salts (200 mg. each of potassium and magnesium EDTA), instead of 365 mg. of magnesium di-potassium EDTA, nearly 10% more of the active component.
